Courtney is the proud owner of Amaryllis Speech Therapy, LLC. Courtney is your classic small-town-girl, born and raised in Marissa, IL. Courtney attended Marissa Elementary and High School where she made many lifelong friendships along the way.
After high school, Courtney moved to Carbondale, IL to pursue a bachelor's degree at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (SIUC). Courtney always knew she wanted to work closely with people, build relationships, and make a difference in peoples' lives. While taking classes, she decided to shadow different careers in healthcare and discovered the incredible field of Speech-Language Pathology. Courtney fell in love with the career within the first 30 minutes of shadowing and never looked back! Two years after discovering the field, she graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences, with a Speech-Language Pathology track and minors in Psychology and Chemistry.
After graduating with her Bachelor's, Courtney moved to St. Louis where she pursued a Master's degree at Saint Louis University (SLU). Courtney was exposed to many great educational, clinical, and research opportunities at this school and worked extremely hard to graduate with Summa Cum Laude honors and her Master of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Approximately one year after graduation, Courtney earned her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the national organization, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Courtney is licensed to provide speech-language pathology services within the State of Illinois

Courtney moved back to Marissa, IL after graduating from SLU and began working to gain experience. A few years later, Courtney married her high school sweetheart, Trevor, and they settled into a house they had been remodeling for several years outside of Marissa, IL. In her free time, Courtney enjoys going camping, taking her dog on walks, spending time with her loving family and supportive friends, and remodeling/building projects with her husband!
